About Us

First established in 2004, Habitat Blackwood was a unique gift and homewares shop located in the heart of Blackwood, South Australia. The bricks and mortar presence was closed in December 2024, but Habitat Blackwood has some stock available for purchase on-line, or via phone call on 0408 812 203.

Stock is sourced from a variety of suppliers - commercial wholesalers, local producers, and from afar. Products are imported under Fair Trade and ethical practices. Jewellery and textiles are designed in Australia and crafted by traditional artisans in Cambodia and Laos. Teapots, vases, cone cups and bowls are hand crafted in Japan. Carved soap stone hearts, and more, are ordered directly by Habitat from craftsmen and women in Kenya. The soap stone (Kisii Stone) products are also available to be customized for your purposes.
